The Lionesses face China – Female Exhibition International

Preamble

Welcome everyone to the non-competitive match between the English side and China at the iconic Wembley. This promises to be an exciting contest with the current Euro titleholders taking on the current Asian Cup champions.

The iconic Wembley is packed for the occasion, which will see the celebrated Fran Kirby honored pre-match after her retirement from the national team before the European Championship this past summer.

Lineup details will be revealed soon, but there was a recent squad update for England. On Friday, the goalkeeper Khiara Keating withdrew from the squad with a minor injury, and so previous starter Ellie Roebuck has been summoned.

With Hannah Hampton unavailable, it will be notable to find out who England manager Sarina Wiegman selects in goal. Those details along with further updates are coming up before the start of the match at 5:30 in the evening GMT.

Lineup Announcements

Squad details are now available. Anna Moorhouse will be the goalkeeper for England in the absence of Hannah Hampton and Khiara Keating.

England's starting eleven: Moorhouse, Bronze, Charles, Walsh, Le Tissier, Morgan, Mead, Stanway, Russo, Toone, Hemp.

Substitutes: Hings, Baggaley, Kendall, Wubben-Moy, Beever-Jones, Kelly, Kearns, Park, Blindkilde Brown, Roebuck, Clinton, Denton, Fisk, Godfrey.

We are awaiting China’s team news now; when it comes through, I will post it.
