The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in an LA Car Crash

The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The influential game designer died after his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This represents a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
