A 23-year-old from Southampton was given a 27-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after admitting to dangerous driving.
Additionally, the court imposed a 12-month driving ban and mandated community service along with a behavioral course.

As stated by police officials, the recording was captured at an illegal car meet in Portsmouth on 28 December 2024, showing the driver operating a distinctive colored vehicle.
“The video demonstrates the alarming incident when a reckless motorist skidded around a traffic circle at an unauthorized car meet, while spectators looked on ignoring the danger of severe harm.”
Wider Crackdown on Illegal Car Meets
Officials stated that more than 200 offences involving unauthorized vehicle events in the region have been handled in approximately 12 months.

Official Statement
A police sergeant commented: “Local people, drivers and our traffic officers have had their fill with these groups of motorists selfishly occupying public roads and parking areas and we will not tolerate it.”
The officer continued: “These events are not only a complete nuisance, but they also place themselves and innocent bystanders at danger of severe harm.”
The statement concluded: “Our efforts will persist to prosecute these drivers and I trust these latest incidents act as a warning: you won’t get away with it.”
